Course Overview:

The Waves Certification Program

is an educational and training program that provides a high-quality, standardized means of mastering Waves plug-ins.  Over the course of this program, you will learn about many different processors, which represent the major categories of Waves plug-ins.

You will receive detailed information concerning the functions and features of each processor, and you’ll learn some Power User tips that make life easier and help you to show off your skills.  Yet the Waves Certification Program is much more than just a list of controllers and tricks.

You will also study the real world environment in which a plug-in works.  After all, it makes little difference how well you can run plug-in if you don’t understand what you are trying to accomplish.  Background information, relevant vocabulary and comparisons with other plug-ins are provided to give you the tools you need to make intelligent choices.

The Waves Certification Program
is divided into six modules, starting with an overview of the fundamentals of working with Waves plug-in processors.  Installation, authorization, types of plug-ins, and many other issues common to all Waves plug-ins are covered in Module One.  Next are five modules that introduce you to all of the mjor categories of Waves plug-ins.  You’ll study an EQ, two dynamics processors, a tap delay and the reverb.  In these lessons you’ll not only learn the details of specific plug-ins, but also the logic and language of different families of Waves processors.  This way, when you begin to use other similar Waves plug-ins, you needn’t start from scratch.

You will begin a training program that will help you master Waves plug-ins for audio applications.  Since Waves is the largest provider of the plug-ins for digital audio workstations and sequencers, mastery of these software processors will take you a long way in commanding the power of digital audio.
Upon completing this introductory lesson you will understand:
